THE BEGINNING
Childkind was founded in 1989 as a group home for children born exposed to HIV/AIDS.
In 1992 we closed this home and began focusing our work as a child placing agency, preferring to place children with specially trained families in a loving, supportive community setting.

RECOGNIZED
We then expanded the program to provide services for all medically fragile children, not simply those affected by HIV/AIDS.
Since our founding we have serviced more than 500 Medically Fragile and Developmentally Delayed children.
